The Metalic Underground Podcast

The Metalic Underground Podcast is coming soon. I'm not one 100% sure when that is going to happen. Hopefully I can get my stuff together and put something together this weekend. This could be fun if I find the time to do it regularly.

It's third and 10 Mr President

It's 3rd and 10 for President Obama. I could go into all the other factors that have goes into our current situation but I'm not sure how relevant it is so I'm going to stick with this analogy. It's that time in the game where you've tried a couple of things and it's just not working out. You've completed a short pass or maybe your tried to run the ball but for one reason or another you always end up back at the line of scrimmage. So what usually happens now, you try something else, a deep pass, or a fake .

When in politics the play book has looked the same for the last hundred years or so right now our economy is in serious trouble and if things don't change soon things will start to reach a boiling point or at least start to simmer over, either way it's gonna start getting messy. In this type of situation what do governments do to try to bolster things or at least take the peoples minds off how crappy things are starting to become? Why they start a war. With the republicans eking back in to power now I see this as a very probable event within the next 12 to 18 months. Iran? N. Korea? Another party to be named later? I don't know. Iraq and Afghanistan have played themselves out in the minds of the public. It's time for something new.

I don't want this to happen. However I feel this is coming and it's going to be a big one. I can almost hear the war drums beginning to rumble. When I still myself and be in the moment I can feel it. It's like a storm just over the horizon.

Their is a possibility I don't even want to mention. The war drums that are sounding may not be for a foreign enemy. How far will our government go to achieve their agenda's?

What's all this security for anyway?

The last week has brought story after story of the ordeals from people who have experienced the new airport security. The new full body scanners that use high powered x-ray machines or millimeter waves to create a digital picture of your naked body or you can subject yourself to the new "enhanced " pat downs that include grabbing of the grabbing and feeling of the genitals, breasts and butt both over and under the outer layer of clothing. Both old, young and in between have been subject to theses searches that amount to little more than sexual assault all in the name of "security".

The images that are conjured up in most people's mind when you talk about airport security is 9/11 or maybe if you're paying attention the "underwear" bomber of last Christmas or even the non-events of this last month with the toner cartridge "bombs". The high tech and highly invasive techniques that are currently being employed are designed to make flying safe, to make you feel secure.

I've got some bad news for you. It's all a show. It's all for nothing, a play of smoke and mirrors, a mind job and all that's going to come out of it ,if it's not stopped, is the American people are going to be conditioned to let the government do what ever they want to them when ever they want.
First it's in the airports with the pat downs and the mega x-ray scanners next thing you know their will be some excuse for them to be at the entrance to the airport, then it'll be giant x-ray scanners bombarding you and your family with giant doses of radiation as you enter the parking lot, and lets hope theirs not another school shooting because then it'll be pat downs and x-rays for your children at school. All in the name of making you "safe". All because we let them.

It's abuse, it's a government abusing it's citizens all for what? Control? More and more control of every facet of your life.

Ok, back to my original point. None of these security measures we have in place now would have help one tiny little bit to prevent 9/11 or the underwear bomber.

I can see the wheels turning..."Isn't this what these security measures are for, to prevent another 9/11 or underwear bomber?"...Well that's what they tell us but let's look at what happened.

Ok so lets look at this according to the official story men from the middle east hijacked four planes with the intent to fly them into the World Trade Center, The Pentagon, and the White House. How did they do this? Well according the they official story they used box cutters once they got on the plane, an item that was completely acceptable at that time.

So...would a body scanner have help here....? I don't think so.

Now with the underwear bomber that was a little different. Would a body scanner or a pat down help with this situation? Actually in this situation it might have...had he actually gone through security. From all accounts that I've heard he was actually escorted around security by a guy in a suit. I find that a bit odd don't you? Not to sound like a nut job , but it sounds like we were setup and just a couple weeks later the body scanners were announced...hmmm.

This whole thing like I said earlier, and many many others are saying, this whole TSA, body scanner, molestation pat down situation is a mind job. It's designed to make the American people accept more and more government involvement in their lives up to and including some minimum wage government goon sticking his hands down your pants and feeling up your wife. They want us to believe that we belong to them.

I do not belong to them and neither do you.

Letter to my Senator

This is a letter I have just recently sent to my senator. I just thought I would share this for those wishing to write their own but could not find the words. Please feel free to use this if you like this.

I also post this as an open lettor to all of our legeslators.

Dear Senators and Congressmen

I write to you as a concerned citizen of our great nation. I am concerned because I see our
nation taking one wrong turn after another.

The first thing I ask you to address is the issue of Airport security. The current actions of the
TSA with the implementation of full body scanners and the so called "enhanced " pat downs are clear violations of our fourth amendment rights. As well this is continuing the advancement of a culture where the American people are considered "guilty until proven innocent". While I understand that this is being done with the intent of keeping people safe
I must ask what good is it being safe yet being slave to a police state.

The second issue that be addressed is "Obamacare". I , and I know many others, ask that you work with those who seek to repeal this unconstitutional law. I understand that the health care industry has a lot of problems, I work in the health care industry. This is not the way to fix them.
This law is clearly unconstitutional and must be repealed inwhole.

The third issue I wish to address is bill S510. This is another piece of legislation that seems to be regulation for the sake of regulation while further degrading the rights of the American people. The people must have the right to freely grow their own food without the threat of
legal action taken against them. This bill seems to favor giant corporations such as Monsanto while tying the hands of small and individual farmers. If nothing else this should be reversed as the most recent food borne pathogen outbreaks have been linked to large farming operations not to small farms or individual growers.

We thank you for listening to our grievances and appreciate any assistance
in protecting the rights of the people.

Obama...the Joker? I don't think so

I have thought about this several times and again after watching "The Dark Knight". Several months ago their was a campaign depicting President Obama as the Joker from the latest Batman film. I have to take issue with this. This is completely inaccurate. I'm not an Obama supporter, heck I think they should toss the man a slow boat back to Kenya or Indonesia or where ever he's from. My issue is with the poster itself.

Obama is an ego-centric, petulant, communist control freak. The Joker on the other hand, while he too may also be an ego-centric maniac he is not a bureaucratic and power hungry, he is chaos incarnate. He is the Loki to Batman's Thor. His ultimate goal other than say killing Batman is he really has no goal other than chaos, mayhem and carnage for his own enjoyment. And while this may be the ultimate outcome of the policies and actions of the current administration I don't believe it is the goal thus making the poster, while humorous, inaccurate.

May I actually suggest an alternative and more accurate poster. Say...This one or maybe this one and this is a good one too.

Yes Obama as a sith lord. I find this quite a bit more accurate. While this image was often applied to G. W Bush it might actually be more accurate here. He's taking over in a time a sever crisis determined to literally wipe away the remnants of the old republic and remake under himself and to feed more and more power to and all powerful central government. Doesn't sound like anything the Joker would do. He'd just burn the place down and he'd probably start in Washington.

Autism and Vaccines

This is just a quick thought from my paranoid mind (is it paranoid if they're really out to get you?). I took my children to a check up yesterday and I've been thinking about this since then. For a while now their has been a debate about whether vaccinations have a link to autism in children and of course I can't help thinking about this every time my children are vaccinated.

This was one of those times where the children got vaccinated, however before they got their shots I was given an autism survey by the doctor and according to her they are now surveying all children for autism. To preface this my next statements, I have seen many articles stating that their was no debate about vaccines and autism being link and that it patently not true.
Yet...my mind can't help but make a connection here. I almost got the feeling like this was part of a study, that this was not just to check to see if my children have autism but that this would be data that is correlated and passed on and I think the one detail that gave me this feeling is that the sheets that she was taking down the info had NO personal information.

I have seen articles saying autism is on the rise...why? Is it the many, many vaccines our children are all but forced to take? Is it something else? I don't know. Why after this debate is over are they doing autism surveys on ALL children? Does this mean anything at all...?

I really don't know. It made me think though. I found this an oddity maybe nothing yet it could be that they've pretty much quelled the public debate yet still doing research on this very thing. However I've read articles stating that a link between autism and vaccines is well known within the upper circles of the medical world.

So in my mind the debate goes on.

San Francisco says no to "Happy Meal"

As many already know the city of San Francisco has banned "Happy Meals". Effective this time next year Happy Meals will be outlawed in San Francisco. I've talked about this before in a previous blog called Irritants.

A group called "The center for Science in the Public Interest" published a report several months ago suggested just this thing. As far as I can tell this is not a real science group but a liberal think tank. So, lets just think about this, this time next year it will be illegal to get a happy meal in San Francisco but you will be able to have an abortion, buy medical marijuana and live as an illegal immigrant siphoning off our tax dollars in welfare etc... but you can buy a cheeseburger, fries, soft drink and toy all in the same package.

Let that sink in a bit...

How much of an over reach of power is this by the city council of San Francisco? It's tyrannical!
Not only are the telling a legal business that they can't sell a legal product but they are telling the citizens what they can and cannot buy! The city of San Francisco has become a tyranny and the entire country is heading the same direction. As far as I can tell this is not something the citizens of San Francisco petitioned or voted for this is something imposed on them by city council
This is Obamacare light. Government telling a private citizen that they cannot or thet they must by a legal and legitimate product from a private company.

Not only is this simply a situation of government going too far I can't help but feeling like this has it's root cause in the "War on Drugs". While I do not do drugs nor do I advocate their use when a government decides that a substance or item is so bad for you it must be illegal this sets a very bad presidence. It says that the government can tell you what you can and cannot put in your own body. It removes that very personal choice from you in the interest of "public good".
We are now seeing this filter down from drugs down into other parts of your life and it won't stop with Happy Meals it'll keep going. However...if you want to flat out kill the unborn human life growing inside of you feel free to do that in San Francisco no body will blink an eye

This is just the beginning people.

Marijuana and "Shrooms"

This is a topic I've never written about...Drugs or so called drugs. Specifically marijuana and psilocybin mushrooms. I have not and do not partake in these things or am advocating their use but I do have a question, why are the illegal? They are naturally occurring and grow wild many places around the world and anecdotal and lab evidence shows great medical possibilities for both of them. The danger surrounding both seem to be less than even legal substances such as tobacco and alcohol, it has even been said that magic mushrooms are less toxic than aspirin. As well their are fewer use related deaths from marijuana every year than FDA approved drugs. None actually and very few from secondary cause related to use. Yes you can look that up .

So why are these substances illegal? I've not been able to find a good reason. Most of the reasons run the realm of racism, misconception, manufacturing monopoly, supposed moral or social reasoning and government propagandizing. The criminalization of marijuana came about in the early 1900's and possession has carried a penalty of anything from a ticket to life in prison.

Many of the so called "reasons" for criminalization (which can be found with a quick google search, I'm not going in to all of them) have absolutely no bearing on today's society. So why aren't they legal now? The powers that be see no reason for them to be. Besides the drug war pays for it self with fines and money confiscation and reselling of the drugs it confiscates. Add on top of that it's just one more part of your life that the government can control...

Tea Party and other conservitives

This tends to be a thought I have when ever I'm reading a news article on Yahoo or CNN or wherever they have the option to post comments and somebody bashes the Tea party or conservatives and that thought is...Why? Yes I am biased I support what the Tea party are trying to do and what other "fringe" conservatives and libertarians are working on and that is ; smaller government, lower taxes, secure borders, a healthy economy, American and state sovereignty, capitalism and the free market, personal sovereignty, upholding the Constitution and Bill of Rights, and protecting our freedom and liberty in general.

So I ask all you liberals and Tea party bashers "What do you have against these things?". Are you so brain washed that you now believe these things are the problem instead of the solution? I truly don't understand. Are the Tea party and the "fringe" conservative movement perfect...No, but the intentions, I believe are headed in the right direction. Do you Tea party haters want your freedoms taken away? Do you want your paychecks to steadily shrink through higher and higher taxation? Do you want to be at the mercy of the U.N.?

My guess is no...but I think I do know what some of the answers are. You don't want to work for your pay check, you believe that you are entitled to your paycheck from the government and the larger our government the more handouts you believe you can get from the government. So to that I say " You're ok being an indentured servant (at best) to the government?"

I know many people dislike Glen Beck for different reasons, I personally am not a huge fan, but when he can get it through the network censors I believe his heart is in the right place. A couple of months ago he held a rally call "Hope, Faith and Charity." and shortly there after and on the same day even their were those that were hold rallies that were opposing his rally.

Now lets think about this you're opposed to faith hope and charity? So... you're for fear greed and despair or are you a social Darwinist, every man for himself, survival of the fittest? If the latter is the case still why support the left who are all for a nanny state. Or do you simply want the government to make all your decisions for you?

Now don't get me wrong the establishment republicans have been just as bad as the democrats in a good many ways and I'm just as pissed at them.

Back to my original point. The people who are in favor of all the things that made this country great seem to be the ones who are attacked and disparaged the most, the tea party, real conservatives, libertarians etc... Why? The ones who seem to want to tear this country to shreds, sell us to the highest bidder and enslave us all seem to be the ones who are praised as saviors .... Why?

The Center for Science in the Public Interest yet again

Group calls for Ban on Artificial Food Coloring
from webmd

The Center for Science in the Public Interest has put a report calling for a ban on artificial coloring in food. Stating that none of the artificial coloring used in food has been proven safe. While I can't really say I can disagree with their position completely I have to ask " Who are these guys?" This is the second article in a month I've come across that has this group as the major plaintiffs. The first was a possible attempt to sue McDonalds for putting toys in their happy meals.

This raises questions how much power does this relatively unknown (or at least to me) group hold? How much money do they have to even consider a worldwide corporation such as McDonald and where are they getting it? Is it a completely private group or are they getting tax payer money? What other things they done that have effected our life that we don't know about or don't realize? Is this even a group of scientist or is it just a political activist group.

Like I said before I don't know that I can completely disagree with the position that artificial colors are bad. They also say in the article that their hasn't been a study done on food coloring for more than thirty years and that they are essentially wanting to go along with an European Union ban and that says a lot.

At some point I may have to do some more research on these guys and give them their own entry

The American Way

Punch in, Punch out.
Punch in, Punch out.
A thousand disposable minions grind the day away
day after day in every conceivable way
this has become the American way.

For what? What does it all mean
you work all day and your pay's gone the next day
Paper pay and electrons that speed on their way
all made from nothing. Something for nothing
this is the American way.

No love, no hate it's just profit that we make
War and Peace it's all the same thing. So long as
we get our pretty things. This my friends
is the American way

The second Amendment must be honored by states

The supreme court ruled today that the second amendment must be honored by states in a 5 vs 4 vote split down party/ideological lines. This is something quite honestly I have always thought was a no brainer. In fact I've pretty much always the the entire Bill of Rights was pretty self explanatory.

So why does this issue of gun rights keep coming up time and time again? A few reasons that I can think of. For one well meaning yet misguided rose color glasses wearing liberals for some reason believe that taking away the legal right to have guns will stop criminals from getting guns and killing people. I don't know why.

The second is power, fear and control. Taking guns away from the general populous will take power from the populous. The government fears an armed populous especially governments with the intention of grabbing more and more of our rights. Taking the guns away from the general law abiding populous is a ploy to pacify the populous leaving a malicious regime the opportunity raid pillage and plunder the people with out fear of an armed revolt.
As well an unarmed population will turn more and more to the government for protection, whether it be police, sheriffs or the military.

That's really about the long and short of it. This ruling is definitely a step in the right direction. If Elena Kagen gets approved for the Supreme court I fear fewer and fewer steps in this direction. Hopefully the senate will have enough testicular fortitude to keep that from happening.

Irritants

I find I spend most of my time listening to news and talk radio as well as reading news, politics and current events. Right now their is a whole bunch of weird and wild crap going on in our world. However, I find, that it is not only the big things that send me flying off the handle but also ,and sometimes more so, the things that seem like insignificant or maybe just a passing human interest story that send my blood pressure soaring.

Lets take a recent article a group is talking about suing McDonalds. Why? You ask because they put toys in the "Happy Meals", something that they've done for, oh I don't know the last thirty one years. They claim that putting the toys in Happy Meals is "unfair and deceptive" marketing and that the food is making our kids fat...

This almost renders me speechless. What has happened to choice? What has happened to parents having the authority to make decisions about what their family eats. What right does this "Center for Science in the Public Interest" to tell me what I can feed my family? Seriously who the hell are these people?

And deceptive really? What I ask is deceptive about a Happy Meal? It's a burger and fries with a toy or you could even get it with milk and apples. They don't advertise it as anything other than that.

This is simply another "progressive" activist group vomiting their pro-government regulation propaganda in an attempt to get the public to accept the government interfering with every part of your life.

So... in conclusion my thought on this are the "Centers for science in the Public interest" should be punished for this...this is the very definition of a frivolous law suit...my favorite thought is that when they bring this to court the judge should find them in contempt, make them pay all the legal fees and court costs and put all involved in jail for a few days.

And to all the parents out there who think that McDonalds is going to make your kids fat...DON'T TAKE THEM!! That's it, you don't need government regulation to tell you that. You are the parent so what, if you're kids whine about wanting the cheap toy... again you're the parents tell them NO! Again it's that easy people.

(more about this group here and here)

This is the type of thing I'm talking about. Most people would see this and go "huh that's interesting" but not me I write multi-page blogs about it. This article ranks right up there with PETA trying to shut down KFC because they're being mean to the cute widdle chickies...wah wah wah. It's a level on stupidity that generally renders me near speechless.

On this topic I have to ask has anyone in PETA ever been around chickens? They're dirty, smelly and eat out of they're own poo, and not just when they're all cooped up, and they're dumb, a prime requite I find for being a food animal.

This is yet another one of those seemingly insignificant issues that really seems to get my blood pressure up and yet you find when you dig deeper into these issues you find that they have much more significance. Like the impact to freedom of choice.

So that's just my little nugget for everyone to chew on tonight.

The Future.

The future is something that is on every ones mind right now, because right now the future, here isn't looking too bright. But I'm not just talking about the future of the united states, I'm talking about the future of the human race. The future of humanity is something I've always been interested in. My interests in this topic have included everything from science to science fiction to Bible prophecy.

My thoughts on the future of humanity is pretty simple. Humanity will endure as long as we can. Whether it just be another 100 years till we destroy ourselves or be it another million years or longer. We will endure as long as we have the will or as long as our creator will allow.

What shape our future will take? I feel it will take many, from the pinnacle of liberty to the depths of despotism and mixtures and any combination of, through times of stability to times of natures worst wrath and from the height of known technology to the dark ages and back.

What is my hope for humanity? My hope for humanity is the stars. I don't believe that I'll be alive for this, but my hope for humanity is that we will one day be able to explore the stars and colonize other planets.

You see, I fully believe that there is other life out there. With so many stars and so many of those stars having other planets it's almost to hard for me to believe that their isn't any other life out there. Whether they've visited us here I don't know but I believe they're out there, and if we can go to the stars before we obliterate ourselves I believe we may just meet them.

Not to mention our creator is a creator. Did he just quite creating all together with us? The Genesis outlines our creation doesn't say one way or another whether he did anything anywhere else. So is it not possible he created others elsewhere? The Bible and other scripture deal specifically with us on earth.

So how does this mesh with Bible prophecy? I don't know that it does but I'm also not sure that it doesn't. I've read the book of Revelations (many times actually). the ending gets a little mixed up. See the world never actually seems to end. It speaks of a new heaven, a new Earth and a new Jerusalem and this is all after the judgments and then it goes into a description of Heaven. As well as after the thousand years the dragon is let out of the pit and things seem to get back to normal for awhile and then he gets kick out for good. Then there is the judgment and the new Earth and such.

I know many people believe we're in the days just before the things in the Book of Revelation start and some actually believe that these are the events of the Book of Revelation and Daniel spoke of. Personally I've meditated and studied and prayed and I am not so sure myself.

I guess I just don't see the creator, if in deed he is a benign creator, I don't see him as being a short term kind of guy. If a thousand years is indeed as a day to him and humans have only been around for six thousand years then we're barely a week into this thing. So why stop now?

These are just my thoughts...

I think Obama sunk the oil rig by releasing the Krakken

I love the title of this blog. It's a combination of three pretty fun things. First it implies a conspiracy theory, always a good time, it's satirical which is fun and it blames Obama also a good time. That's my explanation for any Obama zombies who might have needed one.

First off I'm actually going to applaud BP. I know conservative side with big business blah, blah blah. Well, I'm not really a fan of big business I've worked for several VERY large companies and truth be told not really a fan. My applaud of BP is they're doing the best they can with no help from the administration.

But it's they're fault you say. Yeah maybe, maybe it was the company who owed the rig, maybe it was Haliburton, maybe it was the eco-nuts who made them drill in water a MILE deep, maybe it was the administration who rubber stamped they're last inspection, maybe Barry really did release the Krakken. At this point it doesn't really matter. What matters is that BP is taking full responsibility for it.

They're taking responsibility for it and doing the best they can to figure out a way to fix it. What has the regime done? Other than sending lawyer, more lawyer a swat team, a bunch of empty suite bureaucrats and throwing hissy fits and threatening to "Keep their boot on BP's throat"?

Nothing. Not one blasted thing. Their are no reports of the army corps of engineers helping or any other productive section of government doing anything to help. And what do I have to say about that? Good! BP is better off without the governments help. This is their business and I have no doubt that they are doing a much better job than any government agency every good. Don't get me wrong I have the utmost respect for the armed services, but they are not in the oil business.

I understand that this is a horrible ecological disaster and it's one of those things that could very well fall under a category that the government needs to do something about. I understand that this is going to turn in to a horrible economic disaster for the south and possibly for the whole country. So why ,your probably still asking, am I glad that the regime has not really gotten it self involved in this. The answer is simple... The federal government has a bad habit of messing up every thing it touches, and that goes double for the current regime.

Do I even have to list examples?

The NOAA had a plan that they developed almost twenty years ago for just such an occasion and they just sat and watched like a bunch of stoned teenagers. The President didn't even mention it till nearly a week after it happened, and then he tried to take credit when everybody thought that the top kill worked and then we find out it didn't and now I bet he's pissed. The
Governor of Louisiana had a plan to help protect they're shores from the oil, the plan was to build a series of barrier off the coast, and the administration told him no, they needed to study what the environmental impact of building they barriers would be.

I can answer that one...A lot less than thousands of gallons of oil washing on to the shore and bayous of the Louisiana coast doesn't take a genius to figure that one out. So just based on this last paragraph I have to say... There is a saying "Lead, Follow or get out of the way"...so I guess what I'm saying in summation... The Obama regime needs to GET OUT OF THE WAY!!
Not to mention unless Obama has something constructive to say or gets out he magical messiah diving suit and goes down and caps the well him self I've heard from him all I need to hear about this.

In conclusion to British Petroleum I applaud you for taking responsibility and many of us know that you're doing the best you can under the conditions your in and with what you are allowed to do

It's ALIVE!! IT'S ALIVE!!

We have created artificial life!!

I found this completely fascinating. Apparently the mainstream media didn't. You heard about it a couple of days and then nothing since. No debate, no outrage from the hard religious right no praise from the extreme secular left. Nothing. I personally think this is a fantastic accomplishment.
Really I'm psyched about this.

Before we even start talking about moral or ethical issues that could surround this I want to talk about the possibilities that me as your average layperson can see. The two big things that come to mind is the medical uses, and mind you this isn't going to be any time soon, is cancer and A.I.D.S. treatment. If you could create an artificial white blood cell that is immune to the A.I.D.S. virus yet will kill the A.I.D.S. virus you could cure it, or create a cell that will eat cancer cells, again a cure. I guess you could theoretically cure just about anything maybe mix it with nanotechnology the sky's the limit. Maybe create an organism that will eat toxic waste or oil use it to clean up a disaster or two.

Again like I said they've just now had success with a man made genome that will just replicate it self. I figure it'll be a decade or two before the have any success customizing the dna to do specific things. Like I said I'm excited about this, my little mind is taking this accomplishment and going all kinds of places with this.

Of course theirs always the downside to this type of thing. As well as I can see all the good things that could be done with this I can see all kinds of nasty things. We wouldn't have to modify existing diseases for weapons...we could make new ones. Terrible ones that don't respond to antibiotics or any known type of treatment. It's possible.

Lots of things are possible. Like I said this is something that hasn't gotten a lot of air play from either side. No religious right decrying this as an abomination, no secular left shouting that this is proof that we're just as good as God. I guess this story just isn't sexy enough to make the front page. I mean hey, it's not like Dr. Frankenstein created his monster, now THAT would make the front page. It's just a single celled organism that replicates on it's own created by humans in a lab.
